Experience

Hegel (Phenomenology) / (Logic)

The process in which consciousness grasps objectivity. Experience is not passive reception (empiricism), but a dialectical movement in which consciousness tests and corrects its concepts against the object. It is the "resistant material" (Ch. 5.4) against which thought must prove itself.
