Empirical (Empiricism)

The sphere of experience and sense-perception. In empiricism, the sole source of knowledge (Ch. 1.2). In Hegelian logic, the empirical is necessary but not sufficient; it must be structured through the concept. Empirical universality (totality) is to be distinguished from conceptual universality (Ch. 10.8.C).
