Hegel (teleology)

Not merely subjective intention, but objective structure. The end determines the means, realizes itself through them. Inner purposiveness (life) vs. external purposiveness (technical action).

Origin

Aristotle: entelechy, final cause. Kant: purposiveness without a purpose (organism). Hegel: purpose as logical structure.
