Purpose
Hegel (teleology)
Not merely subjective intention, but objective structure. Purpose determines the means and realizes itself through them. Inner purposiveness (life) vs. outer purposiveness (technical action).
Origin
Aristotle: entelechy, final cause. Kant: purposiveness without purpose (organism). Hegel: purpose as logical structure.
