Hubert Beckers

Hubert Beckers (1806–1889) taught in Munich and was a student of Schelling.

He defended Schelling’s late philosophy against the Hegelians — and thus belongs among the opponents against whom the school sharpened itself. The dispute over metaphysics, which Jaeschke treats in the third part of his handbook, was fought out between such positions.
