Heinrich Laube

Heinrich Laube (1806–1884) was a writer and belonged to the Young Germany movement.

His account of Hegel is among the few that give due weight to Hegel’s judgment on art: Hegel knew everything in art and poetry, his judgment being “sharply trained and well-founded.” This stands against the widespread image of the systematic thinker who merely philosophized about art.
