Our application (from Life)
The fourth ethical criterion: act so that organs/parts/elements can mutually constitute one another. Derived from the structure of the living organism - each organ serves the whole, the whole preserves each organ.
Origin
In Kant: the organism as mutual purposiveness. In Hegel: the organism as the unity of the universal and the particular. We make this an ethical criterion.
