Our application (from Life)

The fourth ethical criterion: Act so that organs/parts/elements can reciprocally constitute one another. Derived from the structure of the living organism—each organ serves the whole, the whole sustains each organ.

Origin

In Kant: the organism as reciprocal purposiveness. In Hegel: the organism as the unity of the universal and the particular. We turn this into an ethical criterion.
