Mutuality, reciprocity. The seventh ethical criterion: act such that your action could be reciprocal. Corresponds to the Golden Rule. Not mere symmetry (that would be too weak), but active mutuality.

Origin

Present throughout the history of ethics (the Golden Rule). We show that reciprocity follows logically from the structure of recognition and of self-application.
