Ideality

Hegel (throughout)

The property of subsisting only as a moment of a whole and having no independent existence. The finite is "ideal" - its truth is not itself but the infinite (Ch. 1.11). The moments of the concept (A, B, E) are ideal - they exist only within the unity of the concept (Ch. 9.7).
