Denkenbuch

Short designation for "An Introduction to Systematic Thinking through Its Practice" — the second book of the trilogy. The Denkenbuch consciously cultivates what was discovered performatively in the Wahrheitsbuch: the four fundamental logical operations (self-application, differentiation, sublation, recognition) as a method of systematic thinking. In the Denkenbuch these operations are not taught from the outside but are brought to consciousness in the very act of their application.

The Denkenbuch develops the method practically (through exercise and application); the Hegel Commentary grounds it systematically (in its logical necessity). What is cultivated there as practice proves here to be the structure of the forms of judgment and the logic of the syllogism.
