Determining Reflection
Hegel (Logic of Essence, third and highest form of reflection)
The third and highest form of reflection, the unity of positing and external reflection. Determining reflection recognizes: the presupposed is itself something posited --- but necessarily posited.

What thought found (external reflection) it has itself implicitly produced; but it had to produce it thus. The immediate is itself something mediated, the presupposed itself something posited. Determining reflection overcomes: - the emptiness of positing reflection (which finds only itself) - the externality of external reflection (which does not penetrate the given)

Performative erfahrung
Every moment of seeing-through in the experiments --- you recognize that being and nothing are moments of becoming, that the skeptic must refute himself, that the circularity of the definition of truth shows the structure of self-grounding. The failure was necessary.

Understanding that the categories with which I comprehend the world, while posited by me, are not arbitrary --- they are the necessary form of comprehension itself.
