Maria Katharina von Steiger

Maria Katharina von Steiger (1785–1849) was a daughter of the Bern captain Karl Friedrich von Steiger and Hegel’s pupil.
She was eight when Hegel joined the household — in families of this kind, girls too received instruction from the private tutor.
