Karl Christian Renz

Karl Christian Renz (1770–1829) was Hegel’s co-examination candidate at the Tübingen Seminary — they took their examinations together. He later became a vicar in Maulbronn and a tutor in Tübingen.

He belonged to the close-knit circle that also included Hölderlin and Schelling.
