Karl August Forster
1784-1841
Karl August Förster (1784–1841) was a writer, and from 1807 a professor at the cadet corps in Dresden, and translated Dante, Petrarch, and Tasso.
His translations were among what Hegel knew about Italian poetry when he spoke about it in his lectures on aesthetics.
