Johann Ludwig von Jordan

Johann Ludwig von Jordan (1773–1848) was Prussian envoy in Dresden from 1819 to 1848.
The family owned vineyards in Deidesheim and was a business partner of the Gogel family — through this connection, Hegel’s Frankfurt acquaintances extended all the way into the Prussian civil service.
