Johann Christian Friedrich Wetzel

Johann Christian Friedrich Wetzel (1762–1810) was a philologist and, from 1793, a teacher in Berlin.
He belonged to the generation of schoolmen who built up the humanistic Gymnasium (grammar school) in Prussia — the same reform that Hegel carried out for Bavaria in Nuremberg.
