Hegel (pervasive, method)

The central result of sublation. Unity for Hegel is not mere addition or mixture, but the concrete, mediated totality of distinguished moments. The opposites (e.g., being/nothing, quality/quantity, concept/objectivity) are comprehended in a higher form as unity (Ch. 1.13, 3.1, 19.1).
