Definition

The determination of the what of a matter. In traditional logic often an arbitrary list of properties (Ch. 9.5). In Hegelian logic the true definition is the explication of the concept and corresponds to the structure of the categorical inference (Ch. 11.16), which grasps the essence of the matter.
