Beginning

Hegel (Logic)

The beginning of the Logic must be immediate and presuppositionless. This is "pure being." Hegel shows, however (Ch. 1.3-1.5), that this beginning mediates itself (since being = nothing) and passes over into becoming. The beginning is thus a result of itself.
