Benjamin Gottlob Fischer

Benjamin Gottlob Fischer (1769–1846) came from Nürtingen, held a scholarship in Tübingen, and became a Magister in 1789. He later taught as a preceptor in Sulz and Nürtingen, and from 1807 onward at the seminary.

Nürtingen was also Hölderlin’s hometown; the connections among the Swabian families extended beyond their shared years of study.
