Adolf Julius Niethammer
1798-1882
Adolf Julius Niethammer (1798–1882) was the only son of Friedrich Immanuel Niethammer. He studied law in Erlangen and Heidelberg and also attended Hegel’s lectures there.
The two families had a close relationship: when Hegel had to find a place for his illegitimate son Ludwig in 1807, the Niethammers took him in.
