Adam Heinrich Müller

Adam Heinrich Müller (1779–1829) was a state theorist and political writer of the Romantic period, friends with Kleist and Gentz.

His Elemente der Staatskunst [Elements of Statecraft] set against the modern state a corporative counter-image: not contract, but organically grown order. Hegel classed him with the same tendency as Haller and the historical school of law — the attempt to undo the French Revolution by falling back on the Middle Ages.
