Adalbert Friedrich Marcus

Adalbert Friedrich Marcus (1753–1816) headed the Bamberg hospital from 1778 onward and was personal physician to the prince-bishop.
He was one of the physicians who sought to carry Schelling’s philosophy of nature over into medicine, and in Bamberg he hosted the gatherings that Hegel frequented during his years as a newspaper editor.
