Isaak Rust

Isaak Rust (1796–1862) was a Protestant theologian and church councilor in Speyer.

He belonged to the right wing of the school and sought to make Hegel’s philosophy of religion useful for the church. Hegel knew him; in their correspondence he appears as one of the few clergymen who did not read his philosophy as a threat.
