Hegel (Logic of Being, Finitude)
The finite, which strives beyond itself but cannot. It ought to be what it is not. The ought (Sollen) is the tension between being and what-ought-to-be.
Origin
Kant: ought (morality) vs. being (nature). Hegel: the ought as the structure of finitude, which drives toward the infinite.
