Franz Anton Staudenmaier

Franz Anton Staudenmaier (1800–1856) was a Catholic theologian in Freiburg.

He engaged extensively with Hegel and arrived at an ambivalent conclusion: the method was usable, the result pantheistic. In this, he represents the Catholic reception, which neither adopted nor rejected Hegel.
