Eduard Zeller

Eduard Zeller (1814–1908) was a student of Baur and wrote the Philosophy of the Greeks, which remained the standard work for a century.

He later turned away from Hegelianism and became one of the first Neo-Kantians. His path — from the Tübingen School through philology to the Kant revival — is, in miniature, the path of German university philosophy in the nineteenth century.
